Eden Community Outreach is the outreach-ministry of Eden Gemeente (Eden Community), an Afrikaans speaking, independent evangelical church in George, a town in the beautiful Garden Route of the Southern Cape in South Africa.

 

Since our English-speaking friends in other parts of the world will most probably not be able to learn more about Eden Gemeente on our website, we are glad to make available this separate website where you can find information about our outreach-ministry.

 

As a local church, we journey toegether as followers of Christ with the conviction that only love at the centre gives meaning to our lives—love for God and love for people. This was the example of Christ in whose footsteps we follow.

 

With this conviction we give our lives to bring the greatest gift to those whom we are able to reach, the gift of the message of the Gospel. Yet, how can we bring the Good News that Christ is the Bread of Life to those whose lack of bread makes it almost impossible for them to even be aware of a deeper hunger? 

 

This is our hope, that while reaching out to those who are in dire need of the bare necessities of life, the doors will open for us to address the deepest need of all human beings, an experience of the redeeming love of God through Christ our Lord.
